Customizing a Quest
You can easily customize any quest in Quest Forward to better suit your students’ needs and help them engage more deeply in their learning.
Here are 5 ways to customize a quest for maximum impact.

| Differentiate content | Resources | Add additional resources of varying reading levels. Consider using AI to help re-write the original resource at multiple Lexile levels.
Add a link to an audiobook so students can listen and follow along as they read a text. |
| Incorporate active learning | Activity directions | Include instructions for active learning strategies, like collaborative activities for pairs or small groups. |
| Resources | Attach resources that help students engage more actively with texts they are reading or analyzing, like a QPR active reading strategy, a Windows and Mirrors reflection, or an Active Reading Bookmark. | |
| Offer student choice | Resources | Add resources in different formats so students can choose if they want to read an article, watch a video, etc. Attach documents like tic-tac-toe boards that let them choose practice exercises or resources to explore. |
| Artifacts | Include options for artifact format so students have a choice in how they demonstrate mastery. Consider using choice boards and menus, and don’t forget that you can use AI to develop a variety of different options more quickly. | |
