What is in the Quest Forward OE curriculum?

Quest Forward houses Opportunity Education’s high school curriculum for students and OE’s professional learning courses for teachers, as well as original curricular materials that teachers create for themselves. 

What is in the Quest Forward OE high school curriculum? 

  • Quests for students: four years of English, Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Science, as well as Pathways
  • Quests are designed to engage students through active learning: 
    • inquiry and investigation, 
    • discovery and self-directed exploration, 
    • reflection and self-assessment, 
    • and opportunities for choice

  • Curriculum Overview: provides a summary of all four years of a subject, including mastery projects and key concepts for each course and unit, as well as whole course learning goals
  • Course Frameworks: provide a detailed overview of the quests in every collection within each course, organized into units with week by week recommendations for sequencing and pacing
